Blocklist

Automatically reject applications from blocked candidates.

The Candidate Blocklist (Settings → Blocklist, admin only) is a list of emails, phone numbers, and names that are checked every time a candidate applies. When an application matches an active entry, it’s automatically rejected and an alert is raised — the candidate never enters your pipeline.

Adding an entry

1

Open the add dialog

Go to Settings → Blocklist and click Add Entry.

2

Choose a block type

Pick how the entry should match incoming applications:

Block typeMatches
EmailAn exact email address
PhoneA phone number
Name (Exact)The candidate’s name, exactly
Name (Fuzzy)Close variations of a name (spelling differences)
Email DomainAny email address at a domain (e.g. example.com)
3

Enter the value and context

Enter the value to block. Optionally add a reason (so your team knows why the entry exists) and an expiration date.

4

Save

Confirm to add the entry. It takes effect on the next application.

Managing entries

The blocklist table shows each entry’s value, type, reason, expiration, and when it was added. You can search by value, filter by block type, and page through large lists.

  • Expired entries are no longer enforced but stay visible for your records.
  • Removing an entry (via the row action, with confirmation) allows future applications from that value again. It does not undo past rejections.

How auto-rejection works

When a candidate applies through any source, their email, phone, and name are checked against active blocklist entries. On a match:

  • The application is automatically rejected.
  • An alert is raised so your team can see what was blocked and why.

The blocklist acts on new applications. Candidates already in your pipeline aren’t affected by adding an entry — reject them from the candidate list or profile if needed.
