Creating a Job
To start screening candidates, create a job. The Create Job wizard walks you through every part of the setup — the role itself, the AI voice agent, screening questions, scheduling, and your interview pipeline.
To open the wizard, go to Jobs and click Create Job.
Your job stays in Draft status until you activate it on the final step. No calls are made and no candidates are screened while a job is a draft. You can leave at any point and pick up where you left off via the Continue setup link on the job’s row in the Jobs list.
The wizard, step by step
Job Details
Describe the role: title, employment type, work arrangement (remote, hybrid, or on-site), industry, location (for non-remote roles), pay range, and the job description, requirements, responsibilities, and benefits.
This step also has two screening toggles:
- Enable AI Screening Calls — automatically call candidates when they apply and screen them by voice. Jobs with this on show an Auto badge in the Jobs list.
- Enable AI Resume Analysis — evaluate each resume against the job description automatically.
You can also write a one- or two-sentence company introduction. The AI agent uses this exact wording when introducing your company at the start of each call.
A specific, detailed description pays off later — it drives the quality of auto-generated screening questions and the AI’s resume analysis.
Voice Agent
Configure the AI agent that will call candidates: pick a template, give the agent a persona name (e.g. “Alex”), choose a voice, and set a phonetic Company Pronunciation so the agent says your company name correctly. You can preview the pronunciation with the selected voice.
Screening Questions
Build the questions the agent asks on the screening call. The wizard auto-generates a starting set from your job details; you can also click Suggest More for additional AI suggestions or Add Question to write your own. Mark must-have requirements as knockout questions to auto-disqualify candidates who fail them. Drag questions to reorder them and click question text to edit.
See Screening Questions and Knockout Criteria for details.
Scheduling
Set up interview scheduling: calendar connection, interview availability, and related settings, so the agent (or your team) can book interviews with candidates who pass screening. See Calendar Integration.
Pipeline
Define your interview workflow after screening. Add up to a handful of steps under Your process: interview rounds (virtual or in-person, with an address for in-person), external evaluation steps (a link the candidate completes), and recruiter review steps. A summary banner explains what your pipeline does — for example, whether the agent offers to book an interview on the call, or whether candidates wait for an evaluation or your review first.
If job board distribution is enabled for your organization, an extra Post Job step appears after activation so you can publish the role to job boards right away. See Managing Postings.
After activation
The job’s status changes from Draft to Active and you land in the job console, where every setting from the wizard can be edited later. See The Job Console.
