Glossary
An alphabetical reference. For a deeper walkthrough of the core concepts, see Key Concepts.
Application
A candidate’s connection to a specific job. A candidate can apply to (or be added to) more than one job; each application moves through the pipeline independently.
Blocklist
A list of candidates your organization will not consider, each with a reason. Managed under Settings (Admin-only); auto-rejection rules keep blocked candidates out of your pipeline. See Blocklist.
Candidate
A person applying for your jobs. Candidates enter through job-board applications or manual entry and progress through pipeline stages as they’re screened, interviewed, and hired.
Dashboard
The portal’s home page: hero stats, this week’s activity, the review queue, upcoming interviews, the screening funnel, and recent activity — all scopable to a single job. See Dashboard.
Employee Roster
A CSV of your current employees (name, email, department) uploaded under Settings, used for referral matching and deduplication. Admin-only. See Employee Roster.
Inbox
The unified view of SMS and email conversations with candidates, with unread filtering, search, and threaded replies. See Inbox.
Interview
A meeting between a candidate and your team, typically booked after a passed screening. Scheduling syncs with your connected calendar and notifies the candidate automatically. See Scheduling Interviews.
Job
A position you’re hiring for, with its own description, screening questions, criteria, pipeline, voice agent settings, and knowledge base. Job statuses: Draft, Active, Paused, Filled (reopenable), Closed. See Creating a Job.
Job Console
The per-job workspace at Jobs → a job, with sections for Overview, Job Boards, Details, Screening, Distance, Pipeline, Schedule, Voice Agent, Communications, and Knowledge Base. See The Job Console.
Knockout Criteria
Hard requirements attached to screening questions. A candidate whose answer fails a knockout is disqualified during the call — the agent ends politely and the candidate moves to Failed Screening. See Knockout Criteria.
Knowledge Base
Documents you upload — company FAQs, benefits, role details — that the voice agent uses to answer candidate questions during calls. Managed per job or at the organization level. See Job Knowledge Base.
Metrics
The Analytics page with KPI tiles, the applicants & screenings trend, the conversion funnel, top-performing jobs, and cost efficiency for a selected period. See Metrics.
Organization
Your company workspace. Jobs, candidates, settings, team members, and billing all belong to your organization.
Override Status
An action on the candidate profile that moves a candidate to any pipeline stage — including back out of a terminal stage like Rejected. A written reason is required.
Pipeline / Workflow Stage
The step a candidate is currently at, from Applied through a terminal outcome. Stages are active (in flow), side-steps (like No Show), or terminal. See the stage reference below and Pipeline Stages.
Posting
A distribution of one job to one board (Indeed, LinkedIn, …). A job can have several postings, each with its own status, application count, and pause/resume controls. See Postings Overview.
Quick Filter
One-click toggles on the Candidates page for common slices: No Phone Number, Incomplete Profiles, Pending Callbacks, and Out of Range. Several can be active at once.
Recommendation
The AI’s written verdict after a screening — Strongly Recommend, Recommend, Neutral, or Not Recommend — shown alongside the score on the candidate’s Overview tab.
Saved View
A named snapshot of your candidate-list filters that you can pin to the top of the list and keep private or share with your team. See Filters & Saved Views.
Score
The numerical rating a candidate receives after screening, based on how their answers matched your questions and criteria. Use it to compare and prioritize candidates.
Screening
The AI voice call at the heart of CONFIRM: the agent calls the candidate (or takes their callback), asks the job’s questions, applies knockouts, and produces a score, recommendation, transcript, and recording. See How Screening Works.
Screening Questions
The questions the agent asks on a screening call — auto-generated from the job description or written by you, ordered and edited from the job’s Screening section. See Screening Questions.
Talent Pool
A named, color-coded collection of candidates that can span jobs — a bench of people worth revisiting when new roles open. See Talent Pools.
Tier
The colored dot summarizing AI signals about a candidate: green (positive), yellow (mixed), red (negative), gray (no signals yet). A review aid, not a decision.
Voice Agent
The AI that conducts screening calls. Each agent configuration has a name, voice, and language; you choose which agent a job uses. See Voice Agents.
