Voice Agents
The Voice Agents page (“Your Screening Assistant”) is where you manage the AI voice that screens your candidates. Most organizations use a single agent; you can create more if different roles need a different name or voice.
The agent card
The page leads with your primary agent (your default agent, or your first one):
- Name — the agent’s configuration name
- Voice — the currently selected voice
- Language — shown on the card; English (US), English (UK), Spanish, French, and German are supported
- Status — Active (screening candidates automatically) or Inactive
Additional agents appear under Other Voice Agents, each with the same name/voice/language/status summary and a Settings button.
Choosing a voice
The Choose a Voice grid sits next to your primary agent — click a voice to select it. Each voice has a tone description:
Creating an agent
- Click Add Voice Agent (or Create Voice Agent if you have none yet).
- Enter a name (e.g., “Sales Screener”, “Tech Recruiter”) and click Create Agent.
The new agent starts from your organization’s template with sensible defaults; adjust its voice and settings afterward.
Editing an agent
Click Settings on any agent to open its configuration:
- Agent Name — the configuration’s display name.
- Agent Persona Name — the name the agent uses when introducing itself on calls (e.g., “Hi, I’m Anna…”).
- Active — whether this agent is enabled for screening calls.
- Default Agent — use this agent as the default for new jobs.
- Voice Settings — the same voice list as above.
- First Message — the opening line, with variables for the candidate’s first name, job title, and company name — plus a First Message Mode that controls whether the agent speaks first or waits for the candidate.
- Knowledge Base — upload documents this agent can reference when answering candidate questions on calls.
You can also place a test call from this page to hear the agent before it screens real candidates.
Per-job agent settings
Each job can tune its agent from the Voice Agent tab in the Job Console (Jobs → open a job → Voice Agent):
- Agent Persona — the name the agent introduces itself with on this job’s calls.
- Voice — pick a voice for this job, with an audio preview button so you can hear it say a sample greeting.
- Company Pronunciation — a phonetic spelling of your company name if the agent mispronounces it, with a preview to check the result.
- Template — the agent template this job’s agent was created from (shown for reference; it’s chosen when the job is created).
For what the agent actually does on a call, see How Screening Works.
