Quickstart
Go from a new job to your first AI-screened candidate.
This guide walks the full flow end to end: create a job, get candidates in, let the AI agent screen them, review results, and schedule interviews. Each step links to a deeper page.
Create a job
Go to Jobs and click Create Job. The wizard takes you through the setup step by step: job details (title, description, location); voice agent; screening questions with knockout criteria; scheduling; pipeline; communications; and a final review — plus an optional job-board posting step.
See Creating a Job for the full walkthrough.
Review your screening questions
The wizard can auto-generate screening questions from your job description, or you can write your own. For each question you can attach knockout criteria — rules that automatically disqualify candidates who don’t meet a hard requirement (for example, work authorization or minimum experience).
See Screening Questions and Knockout Criteria.
Put knockout questions early in the order. If a candidate is disqualified, the agent ends the call politely — saving everyone’s time.
Activate the job
Review everything on the wizard’s final step and activate. The job moves from Draft to Active and is ready to screen candidates. Draft jobs show a “Continue setup” prompt on the Jobs page if you want to finish later.
Get candidates in
There are two ways to fill the pipeline:
- Add candidates directly. On the Candidates page, click Add Candidate and enter their name, contact details, and job. They start in the Applied stage. See Adding Candidates.
- Post to job boards. From the job’s actions menu, choose Post to Job Boards to distribute the role to boards like Indeed and LinkedIn. Applicants flow into the pipeline automatically. See Posting to Job Boards.
Candidates get screened
Once a candidate is awaiting screening, the AI voice agent calls them (or the system can be set to let a recruiter initiate the call). The agent asks your screening questions, applies knockout criteria during the call, and answers candidate questions using the job’s knowledge base. Candidates can also call back in on their own schedule.
See How Screening Works.
Review results
Open a candidate from the Candidates list to see their score, recommendation, and tier indicator, plus per-question responses, the full transcript, and the call recording. From there you can Advance the candidate to the next stage, Reject them with an outcome, or send them a message.
See Reviewing Results.
