The Job Console

Everything about a single job — status, settings, screening, pipeline, and scheduling — in one place.

Click any job on the Jobs page to open its console. The console gathers every setting for that role into sections, listed in a sidebar on the left (or as tabs across the top on smaller screens). Most sections have a save bar: edits stay unsaved until you save them, and you can discard them instead.

The console header

The header shows the job title, location, work arrangement, employment type, pay, and who created the job. On the right:

  • Status control — for a draft, an Activate Job button. Otherwise a status menu with Pause Job or Resume Job, Mark as Filled, Close Job, and Reopen Job for filled or closed jobs. Pausing a job with a running posting bought through CONFIRM first asks whether to stop that posting too. See Managing Jobs for what each status does, including what happens to the job’s postings.
  • ⋮ menu — Promote Your Job on Job Boards (see Posting to Job Boards) and Delete Job.

Sections

Overview

The landing section. It shows the job’s counts — Total, Reviewed, Eligible, Interviewed, Hired, and Rejected — and a preview card for each of the other sections (job details, screening questions, pipeline, schedule, knowledge base documents, and email and calendar connections). Click a card to jump to that section.

Details

Edit the job’s core fields: title, description, work type and location, employment type and schedule, and compensation.

Spoken title controls how the voice agent names the role on calls. Leave it blank to use the full title; the full title stays on job boards and must keep matching your postings. The company pitch from setup is shown here when one is set.

Screening

Three parts:

  • Voice Screening Questions — the questions the AI agent asks on the call, including knockouts and their order. See Screening Questions and Knockout Criteria.
  • Distance Screening — turn on Screen candidates by distance and set a Maximum distance in miles from the job location (1–500; 50 by default). Candidates beyond it are automatically declined before any call is made and show as Ineligible for Screening. Remote jobs don’t use distance screening.
  • Auto-Close Unresponsive Candidates — see below.

Auto-Close Unresponsive Candidates

Turn on Close candidates who never respond to move candidates who are still waiting to complete their screening call and never respond to Rejected, with a note added to their profile.

  • Close after — between 7 and 365 days with no response.
  • When a candidate is closed — Close silently (the candidate isn’t notified; recommended) or Send a rejection message (each closed candidate gets your standard rejection message).

Before you save, the section shows how many candidates are already past the window. If any are, you confirm before saving; they’re closed up to 200 per day. Anyone who replies or answers a call before their window runs out stays open.

Background Checks

Appears only when your organization uses CONFIRM Background Checks. It shows where the background check sits in this job’s pipeline (or offers Add background check step if it isn’t there yet), which screening package the job uses, and Customize for this job to override it. If you don’t see this section and want background checks, contact your CONFIRM account team.

Pipeline

The steps candidates go through after screening. See The Hiring Pipeline, including what you can change once a job is live.

Communications

The Email Sender for this job — which connected mailbox automated candidate emails come from — plus links to your organization’s message templates and automation rules. See Templates & Automation.

Schedule

Interview scheduling for the job: the Interview calendar that hosts bookings (and which account bookings go to), interview length, and availability — shared across rounds on Defaults or customized per round. When you save, you can tick Also apply to all other open jobs to copy these interview windows and blocked dates to your other open jobs; each job keeps its own pipeline, interview format, and calendar owner, and the copy is one-time. See Calendar Integration.

Knowledge Base

The job’s knowledge profile and Job Documents — the files the AI agent references when answering candidate questions. See Job Knowledge Base.
