# Connect Email & Calendar

The **Connect Email & Calendar** page (**Settings → Connect Email & Calendar**) links your Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 account to CONFIRM. One sign-in enables both halves: candidate email is sent from your mailbox, and interviews are booked on your calendar. Admins and Recruiters can open this page; each person connects their own account.

| Provider | Email | Calendar |
| -------------------- | ------- | ----------------------------------------------- |
| **Google Workspace** | Gmail | Google Calendar, with Meet links on invites |
| **Microsoft 365** | Outlook | Microsoft Calendar, with Teams links on invites |

CONFIRM asks only for what it uses: sending mail as you, and reading and writing interview events on your calendar. You can disconnect at any time.

## Connecting your account

#### Choose a provider

Under **Your connection**, click **Connect Google Workspace** or **Connect Microsoft 365**.

#### Approve access

Sign in with the provider and approve the requested access.

#### Check the result

You return to the page with a confirmation that candidate email and interview scheduling are ready, and your account appears as a card under **Your connection**.

Once you have one account connected, a **Connect another account** row lets you add a second Google or Microsoft account.

### Microsoft 365: "Need admin approval"

Many organizations require an IT administrator to approve CONFIRM once for the whole company. If Microsoft shows **Need admin approval** when you connect, click **Get IT admin approval link** on this page and send the link to your Microsoft 365 administrator. The link expires in 7 days. After they approve, everyone in your company can connect without the prompt.

## Reading an account card

Each connected account shows two chips, one for email and one for calendar:

| Email chip | Meaning |
| ---------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Active sender** | Candidate email is sent from this account. |
| **Email ready** | Email is connected, but another account is the active sender. |
| **Reconnect required** | The connection broke (for example, access was revoked or expired). The reason is shown on the card; click **Reconnect**. |
| **Email off** | This account isn't set up to send candidate email. |

| Calendar chip | Meaning |
| ------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Default host** | Your organization's default calendar for interview booking. |
| **Calendar ready** | The calendar is connected and available for interviews. |
| **Calendar off** | No calendar is connected on this account, so interviews can't be booked on it. |

When only one half of an account is connected, the card says which half is missing.

## Account actions

The actions under each card are grouped by what they affect:

* **Make active sender**: send candidate email from this account instead.
* **Remove sender**: stop sending candidate email from this account. Interview scheduling on the account isn't affected.
* **Make default interview calendar**: make this calendar the organization default for interview booking.
* **Disconnect calendar**: remove this calendar from interview scheduling. If it's the default host, booking stops until another calendar is made the default.
* **Re-authorize**: sign in to the provider again, for example to grant access you skipped the first time.

Removing a sender or disconnecting a calendar asks you to confirm first.

## What admins see

Admins get two extra views on this page:

* A summary at the top showing **Candidate email sends from** and **Interviews book onto**. If either is empty, candidate email isn't going out or interviews can't be booked, and the summary says so.
* **Organization accounts**: every other workspace account connected to your organization, with the same chips and actions. Only administrators see this list.

If you're a Recruiter and no calendar in your organization is set as the default, your own card tells you so and lets you make your calendar the default.

> **Tip**
>
> Each person connects their own account. Invite teammates from **Settings → Team Members**; team members who only need interviews on their calendar can be invited with the **Calendar only** role. See [Team Members & Roles](/settings/team-and-roles).

## Related settings

* **Sending Mailbox**: the **Sending Mailbox** tab on **Settings → Communications** shows which mailbox candidate email leaves from. See [Communication Settings](/settings/communication-settings).
* **Job boards**: your own Indeed, LinkedIn, and other board accounts are connected on **Settings → Job Boards**, not here. See [Job Boards & Careers Page](/settings/job-boards).
* **HRIS**: CONFIRM doesn't keep a live HRIS connection. To move hired candidates into Paycom or iSolved, use the **HRIS Upload** report on the Reports page. See [Exports](/analytics/exports).
* **UKG**: if CONFIRM has connected your organization's UKG account, a job's **Details** section shows a card for linking the job to its open UKG requisition.

See [Calendar Integration](/interviews/calendar-integration) for how connected calendars are used when booking interviews.
