# Reviewing Screening Results

After a screening call, the candidate's profile shows what they said and how it lines up with the job. Your team then decides whether they move forward. CONFIRM gives you the facts and doesn't make the hiring decision for you.

## Finding candidates to review

* **Dashboard**: the **Awaiting Review** tile counts screenings waiting for you, and **Review screenings** opens them on the Candidates page. The **Needs Attention** card also lists screenings to review, with a **Review** button that walks you through them one at a time.
* **Candidates page**: in the **Status** filter, choose the **Awaiting review** preset. Combine it with the job filter to work through one role at a time, and save the combination as a [saved view](/candidates/filters-and-saved-views) if you use it often.

Candidates waiting for your first review after screening show the status **Screening Complete** (or **Awaiting Review** on older jobs). If the job has a review step, candidates who missed a knockout question land there too, so your team can check the answer before deciding.

## The Overview tab

Open a candidate to see their Overview tab. From top to bottom:

### Status banners

If something stopped the candidate, a banner says so first:

* **Ineligible**: the candidate didn't meet a required qualification. The banner gives the reason and quotes the candidate's answer.
* **Out of Range**: the candidate lives farther away than the job allows, so no call was placed. Click **Override** to call them anyway.

### Candidate Summary

Up to four short, factual points from the candidate's résumé. Click **Résumé** to open the résumé itself.

### Job Requirements

How the candidate measures up against the job's requirements, using what they claimed on their résumé and what they said on the call.

* **Knockout questions** show **Passed** or **Failed**, with notes such as "confirmed on resume" or "claimed on resume — not confirmed on the call", and the share of applicants who passed.
* **Other requirements** show **Confirmed on call**, **On resume**, or **Not stated**, and the share of applicants who claimed it.
* **Discrepancies** are flagged at the top of the panel when the résumé and the call disagree, for example "Claimed on resume but failed" a requirement.

### Claimed Employment History

A summary of the work history in the résumé: **Total Employment**, **Short Jobs**, and **Long Gaps**, each compared with the average applicant for the job.

### Listen and Answers

* **Listen** plays the call recording. You can seek and change the playback speed.
* **Answers** lists each screening question with a short summary of the candidate's answer and a **Pass**, **Fail**, or **Neutral** result. Knockout questions are marked **KO**. Click **Show more** to see every answer, and **Reorder** to change the order answers appear in for this job.

### Fit tier

The chip next to the candidate's name shows their fit tier: **Strong fit**, **Moderate fit**, **Limited fit**, **Pending**, or **Ineligible**. It blends the résumé match with the screening call, weighting the résumé more heavily. Use it to prioritize your review, not as a verdict.

## The Calls tab

The Calls tab lists every call with the candidate: screening calls, inbound calls, callbacks, scheduling calls, voicemails, and missed attempts. Each call shows its type, date, and duration, and a **Hung up at Q3**-style marker if the candidate hung up partway through.

Calls with a recording open a player with a timestamped transcript. Search the transcript, and turn on **Follow** to keep the transcript scrolled to the part being played. Voicemails and missed calls are listed compactly under **Other calls**.

## Acting on a result

From the action bar at the bottom of the profile:

* **Primary button**: moves the candidate to the next step in the job's pipeline. Its label tells you what happens, for example **Send Booking Link — Round 1**, **Send Evaluation**, or **Send Video**.
* **Reject**: closes the candidate, optionally with a rejection email.
* **Override Status**: sets the candidate's status directly, without sending messages. Use it, for example, to move someone who didn't meet a requirement back into the pipeline after you've checked their answer.
* **Restart Screening**: clears the previous result and calls the candidate again.

See [The Candidate Profile](/candidates/candidate-profile) for details on each action. To reject or change status for many candidates at once, use [bulk actions](/candidates/bulk-actions).

For what happens before the result lands, see [How Screening Works](/screening/how-screening-works).
