# Posting to Job Boards

You create the job once in CONFIRM; posting advertises it on the boards you choose. This page covers how to buy job board packages through CONFIRM, how to post to your own Indeed or LinkedIn account, and what happens afterward.

## Before you start

* Make sure the job is complete — title, description, location with ZIP code, pay range, and employment type. That's what the boards show, and Indeed won't accept a listing without a ZIP code for non-remote jobs. The **Post quality** panel on the job's details helps here. See [Creating a Job](/jobs/creating-a-job).
* Finish setup and activate the job first. Draft jobs don't show a job board button on the Jobs page.
* Job board posting must be enabled for your organization. If you see **Job Board Integration Not Enabled**, contact your CONFIRM account team.
* Admins, Recruiters, and Hiring Managers can buy packages. If your organization pays by card, an Admin must first add a company card. See [Company Card & Budgets](/billing/company-card-and-budgets).

## Open the buying page

There are three ways in:

* **Jobs page** — click **Promote Your Job on Job Boards** on the job's row (it reads **Add a board** once the job is live somewhere), or choose it from the row's **⋮** menu.
* **Job console** — choose **Promote Your Job on Job Boards** from the **⋮** menu in the header.
* **Postings page** — click **Post a new role**, then pick the role from the list. If a role already has postings running, the list says so.

The page is titled **Promote Your Job on Job Boards**. On the left is a list of ways to post; in the middle, the packages for what you picked; on the right, **Your order**.

## Buy packages through CONFIRM

#### Choose packages

Pick from the list on the left:

* **Boards you know** — the major boards, each showing its starting price and number of packages. Click a board to see its packages and click **Add** on the ones you want.
* **Multi-board packages** — one order across several boards, all starting the same day, with the saving shown against buying each package separately.
* **Browse all boards** — niche, regional, and industry sites. Search by board name, industry, or city.

Each package you add appears in **Your order** with its price and a running total.

#### Choose where candidates apply

Some packages send candidates to an application page rather than collecting the application on the board. For those, **Candidates apply on** lets you choose your **CONFIRM page** (the default) or **Your own** careers page URL.

#### Decide whether to keep it running

Tick **Keep this posting running** to have the posting re-ordered automatically at the end of each run. You can turn auto-renew off at any time from the posting's actions menu on the Postings page — see [Managing Postings](/postings/managing-postings#auto-renew).

#### Review and post

Click **Review & post**. The **Confirm order** dialog lists the packages and total, and flags anything that could hurt the listing under **Heads up** — such as a missing pay range, job type, or company logo. A missing ZIP code for an Indeed posting appears under **Fix before posting** and must be fixed before you can continue. Click **Confirm & Post**, or **Confirm & pay** if your organization pays by card.

### How you're billed

For most organizations, packages are billed on your monthly CONFIRM invoice — the order shows **Added to your invoice**, and after posting you'll see **Job posted** with "Cost will appear on your monthly CONFIRM invoice." With **Keep this posting running**, CONFIRM re-orders the posting when the run ends at that day's price and emails you three days before.

Some organizations pay with their company card instead. The order is charged to the card your Admin saved in **Settings → Billing & payments**, right in the **Confirm order** dialog. You don't enter card details and you aren't sent to a separate payment page.

* **The card line** shows which card is charged, for example "Charged to Visa ••4242". If there's no card on file, an Admin can click **Add a card** in the dialog; anyone else sees "Your admin needs to add a company card."
* **A Processing fee** is shown as its own line in the order.
* **Remaining budget**: if your organization has a monthly marketing budget, the dialog shows how much is left this month.
* **While it posts**, the button shows **Charging card…** and then **Posting to job boards…**. This can take up to about 30 to 40 seconds, so keep the dialog open.
* **When it's done**, you'll see **Job posted** with the amount charged and the card it was charged to.
* **If the card is declined**, nothing is posted. Admins can update the card in **Billing & payments** and try again; anyone else is asked to have an Admin update it.
* **If the job boards reject the order** after the card was charged, the charge is refunded automatically and the dialog says "Your card was refunded."
* **With Keep this posting running**, the company card is charged every 30 days and the posting is re-ordered each time, until you turn auto-renew off or stop the posting from the Postings page. The run you've paid for still finishes. See [Managing Postings](/postings/managing-postings#auto-renew).

If you'd like to pay with a company card instead of your invoice, contact your CONFIRM account team.

### Monthly marketing budget

If an Admin has set a monthly marketing budget, every job board order counts toward it, whether it's paid by card or added to your invoice. When an order would go over the budget, Recruiters and Hiring Managers are stopped and asked to check with an Admin. Admins are asked "This goes over the monthly budget by \$X. Post anyway?" and can choose **Post anyway** or **Don't post**. All Admins are emailed when someone goes over. See [Company Card & Budgets](/billing/company-card-and-budgets#monthly-budgets).

> **Note**
>
> Every posting also goes out on the free Organic Posting Network at no extra cost.

## Post to your own Indeed or LinkedIn account

If you already pay Indeed or LinkedIn directly, choose **Use your own contract** under **Your own accounts**. Posting this way is free through CONFIRM.

* **Account connected** — you'll see **Your \[board] account is connected**. Click **Post this job to \[board]**. The board publishes on its own schedule.
* **No account connected yet** — Indeed and similar boards are connected for you by CONFIRM: contact your account manager and CONFIRM handles the sign-in and setup. LinkedIn can be connected by an Administrator under [Settings → Job Boards](/settings/job-boards).

CONFIRM can create the posting on your account, but only you can sponsor it — the budget sits in your board account, so any sponsorship is set and paid there, not through CONFIRM.

## After you post

A new posting shows as **Publishing** on the [Postings page](/postings/postings-overview) until the board publishes it, then **Live**. Boards can take from several hours to a few days to publish.

Applicants who apply to any posting flow into the job automatically, where screening picks them up — you never collect applicants from the boards by hand. Each posting row tracks its own applicant count, so you can see which board is delivering.

> Changes you make to a job after it's posted aren't automatically pushed to listings that are already live. If a live listing needs updating, contact CONFIRM support.
