# Filters and Saved Views

The filter bar above the candidate list lets you narrow the list any way you need. Saved views capture a filter combination so you, or your whole team, can return to it in one click.

## The filter bar

From left to right, the filter bar has:

| Filter | What it does |
| ------ | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Search | Find candidates by name, email, or phone. Search combines with every other filter. |
| Job | Limit the list to one job, or show **All Jobs**. |
| Status | Filter by where candidates are in the pipeline. See below. |
| Tier | Color rows by fit tier and, optionally, filter to one tier. |
| Source | Filter by where candidates came from. |
| Pools | Filter by talent pool membership. |
| Date | Filter by the date the candidate applied. |
| More | Interview timing and quick filters. |

**Clear all** resets every filter at once.

## Status filter

The Status filter shows a chip for each stage, with a live count. Click chips to select one or more stages, or hover a chip and click **Only** to filter to just that one.

The chips you see depend on the **Job** filter:

* **One job selected**: that job's own stages, in pipeline order, using the same names as the Status column (for example *Screening*, *Screening Complete*, *Round 2*, *Hire Decision*).
* **All Jobs**: the stages used across your jobs, combined.

After the in-progress stages come the closed chips: **Hired**, **Rejected**, **Did Not Meet Requirements**, and **Do Not Contact**. Did Not Meet Requirements also includes candidates screened out before a call. Do Not Contact also includes candidates who refused call recording.

Presets at the top of the filter select a group of chips at once:

| Preset | Selects |
| --------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| All | Clears the status filter. |
| Active | Everyone still in progress. |
| Closed | Every closed status. |
| Needs you | Every stage waiting on your team: review steps, background checks, hire decisions, and finished interview rounds. Shown when your jobs use pipeline steps. |
| Awaiting review | Screened candidates waiting for your review. This is the same list the dashboard's **Review screenings** button opens. |

> **Note**
>
> On older jobs, the Status filter shows broader categories instead, such as **Awaiting Screening**, **Awaiting Review**, **Ready for Interview**, **Pending Evaluation**, **Upcoming Interviews**, and **Client Rejected**. See [Status Reference](/candidates/status-reference) for what each name means.

## Tier filter

The **Tier** menu ("Color by fit") controls the fit-tier dots on each row:

* **All tiers** shows a colored dot on every row without filtering.
* **Strong fit**, **Moderate fit**, **Pending**, **Limited fit**, or **Ineligible** shows the dots and filters the list to that tier. Each option shows a count.
* **Hide tiers** turns the dots off. This is the default.

## Source, Pools, and Date

* **Source**: pick one or more sources, grouped by type. Sources include Indeed, LinkedIn, Other Job Board, CareerPlug, Career Site, Company Website, Referral, Inbound Voice, and Job Fair, among others.
* **Pools**: choose **In pools** or **Not in pools**, then pick pools. **Hide all pooled candidates** hides anyone in any pool, including pools created later.
* **Date**: filter by applied date with **Today**, **7 days**, **30 days**, or **90 days**, or pick a custom range.

## More: interview timing and quick filters

**Interview timing** shows candidates whose interview is **Overdue**, **Today**, **Tomorrow**, **This Week**, or **Next Week**.

**Quick filters** can be combined:

| Quick filter | Shows candidates who... |

| Background check ordered | Have at least one background check ordered. Only useful if your organization uses background checks. |
| Incomplete Profiles | Are missing a phone number or a résumé. |
| Referrals to Assign | Came in through a referral link where the referrer's name didn't match anyone on your employee roster. |
| Pending Callbacks | Called in and asked your team to schedule, reschedule, or cancel an interview, or to call them back, and the request hasn't been marked handled yet. CONFIRM doesn't place these calls for you, so follow up with the candidate directly. See [Inbound Calls & Callbacks](/screening/inbound-calls#requests-the-agent-passes-to-your-team). |
| Out of Range | Live farther from the job than its maximum distance. |

## Sorting

Click the **Candidate** column header to sort by name, or the **Applied** header to sort by most recent activity. Each click cycles ascending, descending, then off.

## Saved views

Two views are always there: **All Candidates** and **Starred** (candidates you've starred).

#### Apply your filters

Set the job, status, tier, or other filters you want to keep.

#### Click + Save View

The button appears in the views bar once any filter is active.

#### Name it and choose options

Enter a **View Name**, then choose: **Pin to bar** (on by default) adds a tab for the view; **Share with team** makes it visible to everyone in your organization; **Make this my default view** applies it whenever you open the Candidates page.

#### Save

Click **Save View**.

Each view's **⋯** menu has **Set as default** / **Clear default** for anyone who can see the view. The person who created the view can also **Rename**, **Pin** / **Unpin**, **Share** / **Make Private**, or **Delete** it. Deleting doesn't ask for confirmation.

Your default view shows a home icon; shared views show a share icon.

## Filters live in the URL

Your search, filters, sort, and page number are stored in the page address. Refreshing keeps your view, and you can copy the link to share an exact filtered list with a teammate.
